I don’t know if this will stop the vapor locking, but I read online That people had success with heat reflective tape on the fuel lines. I only did the fuel line on top of the engine. I figured heat rises? I read that Kohler discontinued these Gen sets because of vapor locking issues. I had the original carbureted version in my Bertram and never had an issue.
We ran the Gen Set on our trip to Charleston. The Gen set ran fine until we slowed down in the harbor. The air flow from the hull vents underway stopped. Then it vapor locked. We have had repeated episodes of this since. The silver cloth is the shield sleeve In the 2nd picture.
