Sharing my experience with inserting a 12" Garmin chart plotter.
- replaced the smoked plastic door with starboard. Do notice that the original door is not square; thus, use the original door to cut starboard
- had to slide the bottom hinges to make room for Garmin
- had to use a router to expand the height of the door channel in the top (removable) piece - hopefully, you have a router.
- used original doors as a template to cut out holes for latches (only wished I had placed them higher. (moved the metal catch to match the door latch)
- If you look closely at the door opening, I used a cooler top restraint cable to keep the Garming from hitting the compass when opened.
