I just installed a new windlass with a delta plow anchor and I am having some trouble docking the anchor. I am presently using the zip tie break away system and on the rare occassion that the tie does not break the chain comes up the roller upto the anchor at which point the topmost part of the anchor hits the roller and pops the zip tie, instead of rolling over the roller and properly docking itself, Has anybody else experienced this?? If so what has been the solution???

Zip ties come in different breaking strengths. I use 75 # 14" long and wrap it 3 or 4 times thru the chain link. I do this with both a danforth and grappling hook anchons. Getting the anchor to come up into the bow roller just seems to be hit or miss. The GW bow roller is a bit cheesey but not worth changing IMO Good luck!

Is the pic of your boat in Caeser's Creek?

Yes, it is, coming back from a fishing trip we stopped at the ranger station there to use the facilities and my son took the pic.
