Anyone ever pull a 208 Adventure with a Jeep Liberty CRD 4X4 diesel? We just bought a 2005 Jeep Liberty 4X4 CRD diesel and love it. I usually pull the Grady with our Super Duty, just wondering if the Jeep could handle it. My concern is also with the smaller wheelbase and brakes on the Jeep handling the load.

A loaded 208 with dual axle trailer runs close to 4700 pounds or so. If you vehicle and hitch are rated for at least that towing load, you should be OK.
Of course to some extend the trailering limits depend on amount of trailering and the terrain. Mountains and hills would call for a higher margin of capacity to trailered load.

Thanks for the reply with the weights. The Jeep is rated for 5000 lbs. I have a 200hp Johnson on the Grady with a dual axle trailer.

I used to lug my old 204 around with a Cherokee. She would squat in the rear end because the leaves were a bit soft, but other than that it did great if I kept the speed in check.

That old 4.0 was a monster! :D

A good pint to note is that correct tongue weight is very important. You should aim for about 10%.
Some adjustment to the trailer may be needed.

I pull my 204 with my cherokee 4.0 all season,it weighs pretty close to 5k fully loaded 2axle trailer w brakes. But its only about a 7 miles to the ramp. Have taken it on short hops on the highway. Had to add a leaf to the rear springs but it tows great.. . We have a 08 liberty 3.7 as well and it tows ok but it struggles with it. Definitly stops better than the cherokee but I preffer to tow with the cherokee it has much more power ,just have to increase stoppping distance. Also the liberty is ony rated for 5k if you have the tow package. If you have the Diesel I am sure you do.
