well Garmin has finally said they are releasing their new pump for the GHP10 AP to replace the old octopus pump. I was hoping last May for it but i guess it required more testing than anticipated. Better they figure it out than me trouble shoot the pump after i've put it in the boat.

One last trip for the season and then it's time to winterize

Off season i intend to install the AP myself (Garmin GHP10).

Can fellow Sailfish owners chime in and tell me where they put the various components for the AP (pump, ECU, gyro compass/heading sensor)?

Thx.

I can tell you how my Simard was done on a 272. The placements are likely similar.

o compass - on the inside of the step up to the bridge deck. This is low
and on the center line while away from interfering metal.

o CPU - on the sbd wall of the aft cabin

o pump - in the aft bilge near the fuel switches toward the stb side. You can see it when the hatch is open.

- Compas; Aft cabin behind the starboard wall pannel, down low. There was a spot that looked like it was made to mount something to it, so I did.

- Computer and N2000 hub mounted to the forward balkhead of the aft cabin on the starboard side.

- Pump is located in the bilge on the stargoard side up on the battery rack.
