Considerig adding a autopilot to 2006 Sailfish with twin F250's. Electronics are are all Raymarine - E120 screen with , DSM 300 sounder 2kw radar. Considering Raymarine or Simrad autopilots. Anyone have experience or suggestions. Sticking with Raymarine does this provide better integration and options?

Great unit. Price sounds high, but I had other things done at the same time and never saw a breakout of labor.

The AP2620VF is avaible at BOEMarine for $2843.

If you need the AC20 controller (for input/output purposes) then the AP2621VF is $3183.

For the AC20 and the larger capacity RP160 pump, you move up to the AP2622VF at $3345.

So, you are paying between $1600 and $2100 for installation.

Seems high to me, but I installed an AP12H on our Islander, then upgraded it to an AP16VF. Have installed several Simrad A/Ps for friends.

You ought to inquire which model is being installed, then decide if the price is right.

System AP26 w/ virtual feedback, rupu80 pump with rc36 compass

Any critical difference between the above system with an AC10 Box or AC 20 box?.

Or RUPU 160 vs RUPU 80?

I agree I would go to a Simrad AP26, that is on my list of equipment to add in the next year or so. I agree the price seems some what high for the install. Where are you getting that quote from? I may be able to suggest other places to get quotes from in the area if you would like.

I called Grady before I bought mine and they told me I needed the RPU 160 for the twin F250's on my Marlin
