HELLO:
EARLY IN THIS MORNING IWSS CONNECTING THE BATTERIES OF MY GRADY, BUT A I MAK E ATERRIBLE MSTAKE, I PUTT THE CABLESIN THE WRONG TERMINAL, THE BATTERIES HAVE VERY LOW CHARGE, I AM AFRAID THAT THE ENGINE COMPUTER OR OTHER PART HAVE BEEN DAMAGED. MY ENGINE IS A MERCURY OPTIMAX 225HP YEAR 2003.

PLEASE HELP ME I AM DESPERATED¡¡¡¡¡

Before you have a heart attack, look for physical damage like burned wires. If none, connect terminals correctly. Switch on one battery only and see if anything works. If the battery is run down, charge it and see if things work. Do the same for the second battery.
Most modern electronics are protected against polarity reversal.
Loads like lights and pumps will also be OK.
The engine probably blew blown a fuse or two but hopefully the rectifier is OK.

Diodes-in control modules

Hi
I think the ECM's have Diodes in them which prevent damage from reverse polarity.
