I'm sure many of the older Gradys are similar in the fact that they have ZERO access to the holding tank, valves and hoses underneath the center console area where the batteries sit. If I didn't have a son that weighs 135 pounds I'd never have been able to replace the fresh water pump or trim tab pump...now I have a 2nd round of work to do on the holding tank and seacocks.

Has anyone ever cut the "floor" out of the center console area where the batteries sit to make a larger access area to the very below seacock area and holding tank? I am considering doing it then placing a larger starboard or marine plywood in there screwed into the remaining edge of the old "floor" of inside the center console.

Other ideas?
