Looks nice. For a 30 year old boat - you need to be careful, however. The wood core components, such at the transom and stringers could have issues. I'd check those out as best you can, rapping with something like a plastic screwdriver handle and checking with a moisture meter. Have him jog the motor up and down while you watch the transom for motion. When it is up, or half way, put your weight on the lower unit an see if there is any motion in the transom. Even garage kept boats can have issues with the wood.

The gas tank could also be near the end of its life. Remove the inspection plate and sniff for gas and look for corrosion on the tank. Look for signs of gas in the bilge.

I would also want to do a compression check on the engine.

Good luck

X2 on the transom and fuel tank. Would check those 2 items carefully - outboard too for that matter. The 192 Tournament is a great boat. 5k does not seem to be a bad price. I picked up my 1994 Tournament for 8k. You may want to consider a 1994 model or later. Grady changed the transom in 1994 and also changed to the Sea V hull design (not sure what year the Sea V came in, but my 94 has it) I specifically waited to get a mid 90s model because I wanted the new transom design and Sea V hull. You cnant go wrong with that boat. Great design and built well. Good luck!
