I am the proud owner of a 1997 208 Adventure. My question is, will I be able to lift and keep my boat out of the water on the bow ring and stern rings?
I would replace all of 'em. Mine was somewhat older, but a stern ring 'popped' when about a foot off the trailer due to corrosion that was NOT visible because of the eye ring design. :?
Are you referring to the usual bow ring on the stem? If so, then I believe the answer is "No". You need a "Bow Lifting Ring", which is up on the foredeck, with a tierod to the stem.
Certainly concur with cautionary note about corrosion.
