cabin upholstery maintenance

My interior cabin cushions on new to me marlin appear to be in great shape

Just want to keep them that way.
I have in the past on my 226 seafarer, cleaned then sprayed with 303 fabric guard

Is this a good approach.?

I have been wiping with a damp cloth , using a mild soap if there is a stain or dirt and after drying, applying 303. I have been doing this for several years and coushions look good ( vinyl cushions). For my cloth cushions, just a mild soap on a damp rag, mild rinse and that's it.
