Changing Running Light Bulbs

I need to change the bulb in my starboard side running light. I removed the stainless cover but can't figure out how to get access to the bulb. Before I accidentally break the plastic housing, can someone let me know how to remove the cover underneath the stainless cap to get to the bulb?

If it hasn't been taken apart in a while its probably just stuck. The plastic lens fits into the housing and will need to be removed to get to the bulb. You will need to be careful not to break the lens. As a side note, these are two part lenses that fit together.

When you get the bulb out you might buff up the connectors as these will corrode and eventually lose electrical contact.
