I started my day dropping my ski at Rudee Inlet in Virginia Beach. I ran the CB Line of bouys and to the Chesapeake Light Tower looking for Cobia from 0830-1230hrs. I saw one Cobia This morning but he did not like the eel I cast toward him.
I then towed over to Crab Creek boat ramp and went out to the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel in search of Tau Tog and Sheepshead. I fished the piles close to the island and caught several small sea bass using live fiddler crabs. I then anchored over the tube in about 20 feet of water and caught an oyster toad. I liitle while later I tossed a fresh bait over and before it could hit the bottom the line took off screaming. It gave me a nice fight and finally came up and I quickly netted him. It was a nice 24" Sheepshead. I stopped at Pop's Bait and Tackle in Hampton on the way home and wieghed him in at 10lbs 2 oz for a citation. Another great day on the water. Here are a couple of pictures.
