I am in the market for a hybird boat and have narrowed it down to the Grady 281ce or the Everglades 273cc. So, I would like to receive input from you Grady 281 ce owners as to your experiences and overall satisfaction with the boat. I have not had a sea trial yet but have been on one at the repair shop.
My first negative impressions were that the dash in the helm was too high for good visibility, the loungers in the bow were too high for safety, minimum storage (didn't see a place for my 5 gal bucket), windshield was not glass and wondered if there was enough vent for those 100 degree days, and that the Grady warranty for components was only one year and the hull only 5 years.
I was impressed with the fuel mileage, fit and finish, and overall a very good looking boat.
Can anyone give me their personal experience as to how long to plane, and what is the minimum speed the boat will stay on plane.
