Has anyone ever adjusted twin Yamaha controls? I was told there was a adjustment screw under the cover that could adjust the lever tension. Every so often, if I come off a wave hard, I feel a slight chatter for a second in my right control, almost like it wants to pop out of gear but then its fine.

Just wondering if this could be related.

Any experiences?

Thanks,

Yes

Not unless the control lever moves an dit would hav eto go back to neutral range.
The screw you are referring to creates a friction adjustment only. No friction and the lever can return by itself, then add friction as one desires.

Go to Yamaha website, you can see owners manual for free with instructions for tensioner.

At the motor is the adjustment that positions the gear shift travel. If out of adjustabe range, the control end needs to be opened to see if it can be made up there at end of cable. i believe this is also covered in owners manual.
