Boy what shocker drilling a hole thru my boat for the B-164 but all in all I am happy!!!!!!!!!!!

You are a far braver man than I. There would be no way I could ever put that big a hole in the bottom of my boat! I just have to settle for a transom mount on a piece of starboard glued to the transom w/ 5200. A hole that size scares me and I've been going into burning buildings as a voulnteer fireman for 38 years..

Sure will share more pics. I have been pushing off that scary install all winter. I have been informed by quite a few people as well as a fiberglass shop that when the B-164 transducer is in and the 5200 cures after 7-days that whole area will be stronger then it was before the hole was cut.

You don't have to worry about hull strength with the thickness down there. Just make sure YOUR HULL and ambient air is at proper cure temp at the time of installation and will remain that way throughout the cure. You may want to construct a simple tent that covers the boat in that area and run a string of lights to keep above the min curing temp both inside and outside the hull, day and night.
If I were you I'd use 4000 rather than 5200 simply because removal, should you need it, will be significantly easier. The sealing properties are very close.
 
That's a big hole, what is it 4 inches ?

Guys worry about a 1 inch hole to add SW washdown.
 
How many hole saws did you use ? If only one, I'm sure it's worthless by now.
 
Hole is 3 3/4 inchs, hole saw is still o.k. went slow and kept cleaning off fiberglass. Still a scary site when you look at it!!!!
