Buy the diesel formulation for Startron, and look at the proportions on the label. If you are burning gasoline, use 1/2 the amount of Startron for diesels. Been doing it for a two years now, not buying Startron for a while, and the engine runs great. This is per the company that the diesel formulation is the same chemistry as the regular startron, just in a higher concentration.

I also heard about that and did not know how true it is, i guess it works.

Thanks Hot, Have you used the same proportion when winterizing the motors? Do you leave fuel in your VST or drain it? That seems to be the real test. What motors do you have?

My engine doesn't really get put to bed very long. Yes, I leave the fuel in the VST. I fish until first or second week of December, then go visit the boat in Feb to run her for a little. That way I know it should be an easy April to get it running. Unless it's a hurricane all weekend like it was for opening day for trophy stripers in MD this year. I use the Ring Free, Pri-G (which I am coming to believe is the cornerstone), and Startron. I think the Yamalube is very beneficial for easy startups as well. I use the same proportion of Startron all the time, and my engine is a 225 OX66. When I started the engine in Feb, it cranked for 6 seconds (I timed it) before she fired up, and it had been sitting for two mos before that.
