What is your routine?

Here is mine.
1.) Remove the enclosure every year. Lots of people leave them up and shrinkwrap around them. I find it harder to clean and I don't like leaving them out in the cold all winter. Maybe I'm just conservative.
2.) Wash them all with mild soap and water and a clean cotton rag or very soft car brush before and let dry before storing for the winter.
3.) Roll the plastic glass and fabric pieces; don't fold. I use 4" pvc cut to length covered in fabric (wife sewed) as a core to ensure they don't collapse.
4.) Store in a cool dry place - basement on a shelving in contractor green bags for me. I clearly label them well so the wife doesn't accidentially toss out!
5.) In the spring, I do a two step clean process. I wash the fabric down with a house hold cleaner and water. I use Meguiars plastic cleaner and polish on areas of the plastic glass that need it (any scratches, areas where hardtop pipes come in contact with the plastic etc). Then I apply Plexus on both sides of the plastic glass. I think this stuff is great. Easy to apply and the plastic glass is soft and protected well.

This is the 6th season for me with this boat. I have the white staimoid and I was starting to get embedded dirt and some small spots of mold on it that needed more attention. I use bleach and water (25/75) solution and carefully wet the staimod areas and let it sit for about 3 minutes - keep it off the plastic glass. Then I spray with a bleach based bathroom product - Homelife bathroom cleaner with bleach (white plastic trigger bottle). I think this cleaner was from either HD or WalMart. I used a very soft brush that is for cleaning a car, lightly scrubbed and then rinsed very well.

All the mildew and stains are removed. The white stamoid looks like new. Hit both sides of the staimoid with 303 Protectant just before installation.

Step 1. Ditto.

Step 2. Ditto.

Step 3. Ditto, except I use those foam pool "Noodles" cut to needed lenght when I roll up the curtains. I also store them in Storage sacks I got at a sporting goods store. Perfect size and a draw string to close.

Step 4. Ditto.

Step 5. The Admiral usually does this job. Last year (year 5 on this boat for us), after washing the fabric, we applied a spray on waterproofing. We also have used Plexus and still keep a can in the dock box but last year I bought the Flitz micro fabric ball. Smear on some Flitz and buff it out. It did a good job of polishing and removing some minor scratches.

We boat all year round here (San Francisco) so no need to take them down. My routine is to: (a) never have anyone but me clean them, and (b) to avoid scratches, I treat them like the "finish of a Ferrari" - clean them only when wet and with a soft car washing brush + mild soap, then (c) coat them inside and out with Plexus 2X per year. They look good as new after that.
