F225 Cowling Care

curious how people care for the cowlings on yamahas?

mine are 2002 and are still in pretty good shape;

i put woody wax on them to keep 'em shiny and dirt-free but only lasts a couple of weeks;

want a longer-lasting solution.....anybody use the same wax they put on the hull/topsides (i.e. collinite fleet wax)?

Turtle Wax Platinum Series paste wax.(Green can)
Applied roughly 3 times a summer.

I wax mine, when I wax the rest of the boat. makes washing the bait chunks and fish blood off much easier.
