Not sure how this comes off? Any suggestions? 1999 228
Sorry picture will not upload? I believe its a water filter for the fresh water? Port side stern above 2 stroke oil reservoir
I just removed the Fuel/Water separator filter right next to it.

Not sure why you can't upload the pic, but I sent you a PM with my email. If you email me the pic I'll upload it so we can figure out what it's for.

Just emailed you a picture.
When I tried loading picture to my post it said it was to large. I tried 3 different pictures but it wouldn't load.

That's either the washdown or livewell pump. Not a filter, although it looks like one.

Yes but I'm not sure how to remove it? I don't think it spins off ?

It's one piece. Pretty sure there are at least 2, maybe 4 screws holding it to the inside of the transom. I can see one on the left side....

Okay I'll give it another look. When you say one piece, you men pump and everything comes off with the wires?

On mine, the bracket and pump are assembled together....remove the 4 screws and it comes right off.

It's off 4 screws like you said. It's working now the connections were bad making it work sometimes.
