Hello All:

I have a Lowrance Lcx-19c that came with my GW that i purchased the end of last season. I noticed at the end of last season the unit would stop reading the bottom and giving the depth, but then it would start again. This year the same thing started happening and now it doesn't read the depth or the bottom just flashes 0' 0" with no detail of the bottom. The gps works fine. I check the transducer and it is clean. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Bill

The transducer went bad. The transducer is not aligned properly ( angle to the water). The connection at the unit for the ducer cable is bad. The cable is broken somewhere.

Bill,
Are you moving or sitting still when this happens? Is your transducer mounted on the right or left side of the transom? I had the same problem on my previous BW with an LMS 240 at speed b/c the knuckle head BW dlr mounted my transducer on the port side of the transom. It worked fine at slow to medium speed, but lost all readings at high speeds due to turbulence from being on the port side of a clockwise rotating prop.
