anyone with experience with this gauge?
I purchased the 5532-231-2 for gas outboard twin engine on my 272
I have older johnson 2 strokes that guzzle gas. Ran out of gas a few weeks ago thanks to a faulty sender (also being replaced) but have no interest in that happening again.

My question based on what I've read about the device. It requires a toggle to switch between readout for port/starboard engines and has a resettable digital readout which shows total gallons burned. My question is whether there is any way to get the gauge to show total current fuel consumption. I am aware there is a twin scan version with double gauges. My concern is having to toggle while under power to determine only individual flow rates. I would think there is a way to set the toggle show it shows one motor or the other or both. Anyone know if this is possible? I do not think it is.

It doen't look like it based on the installations diagrams. You can see current flow rate for either motor and total consumption since last reset for both.
