What are the advantages??? Are the blades shorter to prevent over-working the engine?? Stability while on plane? Cost (probably absurd)?

Also, some one posted the name of a prop shop in the Chesapeake, Va area. Cannot find that posting - if you know the number or the dealer's name, can you pls re-post it? Thank you.

The main thing you'll notice w/ a four bladed is a reduction in bow rise. It will compromise your top end, though.
I would not recommend a 4 bladed for an Adventure. 3 bladed stainless-unless you do a lot of towing, tubing, skiing.

Ask for Max, or Jerry. Tell them Brian Hodson referred you (it won't get you anything special... :D )

I concur that a 4-blade is probably not needed on your boat..

I put a Merc. Rev 4(14.75 x 17) on a 225F yamaha pushing an '86 228... best performing prop for me. Great hole shot, doesn't lose bite climbing swells.
