So I near blew up my boat with me in it by accidently putting power to both of my fuel senders. :-| Could this have damaged the senders?
I know the aux tank is empty and my meter reads 23 ohms and the gauge displays 3/4 of a tank. The main tank is about full, the gauge reads full but the ohms measure at 16. I believe the standard range for senders is 30 - 230 ohms with 30 being an empty indication on the gauge, right?
My boat is a '86 255 Sailfish with new tanks installed 2 years ago. Changing the switch panel is the reason for the wiring screw-up.
Just looking to see if anyone knows if I may have fried the senders.
