Grady White 285 - Dual Rod Holder with Dive Door

Hey Guys. The Grady White 285 (2020- newer) with the side dive door option does not have dual rod holders on the gunwhale. Has anyone added a second between the dive door and the transom? Just wondering how to mount a down rigger with plate or have the downrigger on gimbal mount near the transom?

I like the gimbal mount, thru bolted with a backer board under the gunnel. Search here for some threads on the topic. There are some really nice gimbal mounts that stay out of the way when not in use.

I'll see if there is any pictures out there with added gimbal mount and dive door. It looks like Grady eliminated the second rod holder on the 285/300 marlin/307 with the dive door. Disappointing for those who want to fish the boats.
