As it often the case, I was finishing up my annual maintenance today on my 150 Yami. I was all finished except for injecting some grease into the grease nipples. All went OK except for the main swivel bracket which is tough to find . After finally finding it and snapping the grease gun on it, I squeezed a dozen or so shots of grease until i saw it come out the ends of the bracket and then pulled the gun off. Dang, the fitting broke off. So I need to try to remove the piece still in the shaft and find a new fitting. The original part number is obsolete (93700-06M03-00). I sent an email to find the new part number.
Hopefully a screw extractor will remove the old threaded insert.
You gotta love boating

Yea, know what you mean. Assuming you mean the fittings in from for the tilt. I have to take off some the Sea Star steering linkage to get to mine. I hit the nipple with a little steel wool so the grease gun pulls off. You can go to Auto Zone and get metric grease fittings but I'm not sure they are stainless. An easy-out should go right in there.

I ordered a few Yamaha nipples and will attempt to replace the broken one this weekend if the weather allows. I didn't get an Easy Out since there isn't enough room around this specific fitting for the tool to turn. I am going to use a standard extractor after drilling out the center with the specified bit and then crossing my fingers.

I was also wondering if the local fittings would be stainless so I ordered the Yami parts. The funny thing is that I don't know what they are made of since they are black. They look anodized.
