Gulfstream Repower Question

I have a 1990 Gulfstream and want to repower it. I found a 300hp that weights 561lbs, does anyone know if this weight would work?

First question is ' What motor was originally on it?'

Newer years can be rigged with twin f150 or ideally twin f200 assuming you prefer twins. Otherwise the F300 is a good match. This info is for newer hulls, I am not sure if the weight balance changes as 4 strokes became the norm. So look up the weight of the current power plant and go from there.
