After the comments and talking to a few people who are more knowledgeable than me, I'm shelving the I/O conversion now. Thanks to all who participated.
My next question is how hard is it to swap a 4" heat exchanger for the 3" on my 470 now. How tough, what hardware is needed, and any pitfalls to look out for....
