Hi everyone,
My name is Eric. I have done some reading on the forums, but thought I would finally join.

I don't currently own a grady white, but I am beginning the research stage before I buy my next boat. There are a couple gradys that have made the short list. The 263/273 Chase, and the 257 Advance. I hope to learn more about these boats and gradys in general.

I live in very south east pa and have grown up boating on the Chesapeake and a very little bit in the ocean at stone harbor nj. I currently have a welcraft 233 eclipse, but I want a slightly bigger boat and want to move to a center console with twins so I can start getting into some off shore fishing in the nj, de, md area.

Hi Eric and welcome. With uship, the world is at your fingertips. Just remember a survey and then, go shopping. Looking forward to seeing what you get.. and remember, lots of pictures ;)

thanks russ! it will probably be about 2 years before I pull the trigger. I need to save up a bit and want to spend the time to really make sure I get what I want. when I get one, I will be sure to post lots of pics

Eric: Welcome to the Forum. Lots of knowledge and experience here, so ask away on any specific questions you have on those models. Russ gave good advice - get a survey before buying. It may even be that folks here can recommend a surveyor in the area of the boat you're interested in.

thanks rob. I am definitely excited to learn about gradys from the experts. its great the gw community has regional chapters also. it seems that there are so many resources

Hi Eric, So sad to hear you have caught the virus....the Grady Virus, but don't worry, we all have it. It is not usually fatal but sometimes you do need to shred the receipts discreetly so the Admiral doesn't make your condition worse. Looking on the bright side, you have a couple of fun years of searching boat porn sites and dreaming of the big blue yonder.
Glad to have you aboard and remember the brown bucket is not for coffee water.
