Hi All, new here.

Looking for a Honda EU2000i generator for overnighters offshore of Surfside, Tx. Haven't figured out yet how to secure it on the boat. Ideally I would like to have it running the entire trip (even while running the boat). I've thought about having some tie-downs installed just inboard of the transom access door and secure it there. Would like to hear your solutions.

Thanks!

There are a number of posts on the EU2000. Do a topic search.
I put mine on the euro transom stb.
I have 2 starboard L's screwed to the deck to keep it from walking.
While running you could mount it in the cockpit with the exhaust facing the transom door with the door open.
I wouldn't do that at anchor.
Get an O2 sensor to mount in your cabin.
Also go to Duration tanks.com they have a 6 gal tank, fittings & hoses for the EU 2000.

the 265 express i just got had some plates mounted on the hardtop with tie down hooks. the previous owner used to put a the 2000 up on the hardtop and run off of it on overnight trips. He also ran the wires up into the electric overhead box so he could plug the 2000 in right from the top of the enclosure. He also said the 2000 would run for 8-10 hours depending on what was running. next time i get to the boat i will try and take some pictures for you.
