Holy cow :shock: ....I cannot believe someone would leave their boat unattended in conditions like that. The sad thing is he will make an insurance claim and everyone gets to pay for his stupidity :x .

When we do overnight fishing trips, and before we leave the dock, my rule is that EVERYONE gets to do at least one 3 hour anchor, rod, and weather watch while the others are snoozing. Orders are that if anything doesn’t look right to wake the skipper (me) up. If the situation is one that requires getting out of the way NOW, they know how to fire the engine up, raise the anchor and move. Of course if the engine starts everyone is up. Don’t want to participate in the routine then don’t go.

i see it all the time at with the ski/board boats

i would never go out alone in those kinds of conditions
