How to ensure a used 2000 or later GW does not have a soaked foam issue before I buy?

Looking for an Adventure 208 or something and my last run about I repaired was completely soaked with water.
Two truckloads or wet foam 30 years old.
Is it a matter of me hiring a boat surveyor and for a moisture transducer testing? No cracks obviously.....

I hired a surveyor when I bought my boat, I actually looked at 3 boats, 1 had water logged foam and another had rot in the transom, finally the third boat was the turn key, seems expensive at the time but it’s way cheaper than having to fix a major issue

Ever ask a question that you already know the answer to? Thanks for help and I feel like you helped me want do this the right way...
Spend the money up front and maybe go through a few chances before settling on the right (dry) boat.

There are several ways to check for waterlogged foam

• put the empty boat on a precise truck scale and verify with GW stated original weight
• check visually how boat sit in the water and confront with others
• on a wet slipped boat, haul her out and after 12 hours or 1 day check for water leaking from thru-hulls
• have a surveyor check moisture in foam, but not sure if and how he can access the foam

I checked a 2000 306 Bimini two month ago and there was a humid moldy smell in the bilge and some of the visible wooden bulkheads had flaked off paint and felt wet. Also boat was with new DF250 slow and lower units where sitting in the water, more than others I saw.
That steered me to cancel this boat from the shopping list without digging deeper.
