First time on the board, so hello everyone!
I have been looking around at boats for a while and for what I do ( a mixture of waters dominated by wind chop with the occasional trip off shore on nice days ) I am thinking the 225g looks like a great all around boat. I have lots of questions:
do I go with a modern 2 stroke for better thrust to weight? I would like to hear personal experiences under real world conditions.
Has the hull for the 225g remained the same since the 80s? If not when and what changed?
Any problems with this model in the 90s with rot or other construction issues?
Was there a particular year I should look for that has better goodies on it?
