material for my full cockpit deck 500$, owner supplied labor. I would guess with miscellaneous cost well over 9000$

You are saying $10,000 for a traditional repair vs $500 materials DIY? With miscellaneous over $9,000?

Are you repairing the deck, the hatch or both? I recored my hatch with Coosa board core. It wasn't a big DIY project. Less than $800 with lots of leftover material. Deck was fine so no repair there.



I don't like the idea of leaving the rotted wood in place. My hatch was soft but there was still a lot of intact wood that separated from the top and bottom. Not crazy about drilling all the fill holes and damaging the diamond non-skid. I suppose you could cover the repairs with something like SeaDeck.
