What are your thoughts on changing out the internal links on the 2013 Yamaha F200i4? There are three on the engine that are fairly obvious and easy to access, but it appears that there is a bit of engine dismantling necessary to change out the ones that are a little more internal. Has any one done this? How many hours before that should be considered. Anyway to check them with out the dismantling, or would one go by the condition of the accessible ones as a guide to the rest. Mine GW is garage kept and flushed after every use, approx. 80 to 100 hours a year. Would appreciate thoughts on this maintenance issue.

I had all the internals done once, They looked new to me when they came out. The external ones seem to be the ones that see the most damage.

Thanks guys, Fishtales, do you remember how many anodes that were replaced?

BTW, you can reach out to Andy at SIM Yamaha. He will have all the info.

Yes I reached out to Andy at Sim Yamaha and got a statement back "So I am unable to look up diagram specifics on non-US models. You would need to look at diagrams for the Canadian model and provide the part numbers you need." ???? I checked with Yamaha and they said models for Canada and the USA are the same. Not sure where to go for here. Maybe I should be using a dealer closer to home, but have dealt with Sims before and do appreciate their help and prices!

Andy is probably simply stating that he has no way to VERIFY the correct part you need. And he doesn't want to lead you down the wrong path if he can't definitively give you accurate info. If you're sure that they are the same, then go ahead and order - on SIM's site, just pick a US version of the engine you have. Most likely, the same anode is used in many, many models.

"if your sure" is the issue. It is a long shipping trail from Andy's to my home. So will see if I can get a little more back up regarding the right anodes and placement before putting in an order. I agree that "most likely" they are the same, as it would complicate production otherwise. Thanks Dennis.
