Evidently over the winter the inverter/charger on the sailfish(97 model) went kaput. I get no AC output from the unit when I run it from the house battery. The unit is a heart freedom 1000 watt model. I priced a new xantrax 1000 watt unit with a charger. The problem with that unit is that it appears to only be capable of charging one battery. Any advice on what to replace the old unit with would be greatly appreciated. Are these things worth taking to have someone look at for repair?
Thanks,
Josh

The Heart is not likely original, what year is on unit?

Contact Heart and inquire, many of these concerns have a fixed repair fee presuming it was not retrieved from Davey Jones' locker. Also ask about warranty on proposed repairs.
Should be able to find Heart on google.

You probably want a battery charger, but do you need an inverter? And what do you intend to use inverter for?

Promariner makes nice chargers in waterproof packages, which the Heart isn't.

I'd suggest separate charger and inverter if replacing.
