After getting boat back in water this spring, found the all around light on my 330 was broken. Not a worry, as my list for the season was to replace with LED. After looking at some past threads here, I bought a light. Went up top yesterday, to ascertain what was needed. Found that the replacement light would require drilling a new hole in roof, which I was not keen on. Additionally, the wire traces were such that the connections would be exposed to the weather, which was also a detriment. I did notice that both the old mast and new mast appeared to be similar sizes.

Decided to see if the new light would fit on top of the old mast. First step was to drill out a rivet to allow the light to separate from the mast.

Turned out it popped right out. and had a nice long insert to work with. Here are the parts disassembled.

On the existing mast, the light was held on by a screw. Removed it, and fished the new wires through. Holes did not line up in the insert, so drilled a new one after turning it around 180 degrees. Re-attached screw, and it's good to go. Just need to splice the two wires, and push splices up into mast, out of the weather. Wire leads are off edge of picture, but should be clear enough.

Thought others could benefit from this approach.
