I recently posted my thoughts on the Lewmar ProFish 1000 on another thread and had to recently take mine to a repair facility to get fixed as the clutch had frozen and would not let the unit go into free fall, it would still power down fine. The unit is 2 1/2 years old and still under warranty. They said they would have it repaired within a week or so and today, a week to the day I received a brand new unit delivered by UPS! Good customer service IMHO, just wanted to pass that info along for those considering a windlass purchase.
