Hi,

I was doing work around my bilge pump on my 360 and now my livewell pump is tripping the fuse at the switch. I hear the pump kick in and then the fuse pops. Who makes the inline pump on a 360? It's odd that the pump would have stopped working at the same time i was messing with the bilge pump. Any ideas.

It may be corrosion in the wire ends themselves. Many times when you look at a connection, it appears to be clean until you bend the connection open slightly and see the nasty green stuff. I recently relplaced my livewell pump and put in an 800 GPH to replace the 500 GPH I also needed to change the breaker to a 15 amp from the existing 3 amp.
Update: Spoke to local marine mechanic and he said there should have been at least a 10 amp in there to begin with. We shall see next week. Last year it popped about every 1/2 hr or so but I could reset it after only 2-3 minutes.
And YES -- We discussed wire loading. He said not to worry with a 14 guage wire.
