The pump is acting up. It runs fine for about 15 seconds and then a hohg pitched whirring sound is made and no water flows. If I shut off and then turn back on it works for a little bit and the same thing. I'm thinking the impella may be slipping or worn? It has been used over the last 3 seasons, but not excessively. Anybody else have this issue? It is a 2006 marlin.

After 3 years of use it is probably time to replace it. I had the same thing happen to mine just a bit earlier. Livewell pumps are put through hell so they wear out quick. Luckily they don't cost much and most just need new cartridge pumps.

The livewell pump on my 330 lasts about two years. it is a magnetic rotor type and if it runs in sandy water or without water for long, the impeller will not spin easy. Replace!

I had two different Rule pumps go out earlier this year. The pump has a date code on it so you don't even need a receipt.
