Hello- looking for some advice. I changed the oil in my Yamaha 150s before winter. When I launched the boat yesterday I had low oil pressure blinking on my gauges. Any advice would be great appreciated!

Don't run the motors until you find out what the issue is. This happened on twin motors? Did you replace filters? That would be the second thing to check after checking the dip stic level.

Simple stuff but start simple. I call these types of failures FIT's - "Failures Induced by Technician". Look at everything you touched.

Did you run it after changing the oil? Check oil level on dipstick? Remove oil filter. Was it tight? Inspect gasket .If questionable replace it. How did you get the oil out? Pumpout thru dipstick or drain out the bottom? I'm not sure where the oil pressure sending unit is on your motor but I would look to see if wire/connector is on.

Need more info. Two strokes or four strokes? Your model/year of the 150s? If two strokes, are you sure it’s not oil tank and not low oil pressure. What type gauges do you have and do they indicate oil pressure? If not, oil pressure light is simply a switch, but both engines makes it really questionable. Could be Technician induced problem. If four strokes and you have command link gauges, it could be a connection problem from the multi hub.
