Lowrance LCX-26C HD

I just purchased a used LCX-26C HD. I need to pick up a GPS antenna now. The one that came with the unit is LGC-2000. Can I upgrade to the 3000/400?. What will the advantages be to upgrading? Does anyone have any tips or pointers for me? Thanks guys.

Contact Lowrance, I had a problem with the LGC 3000, And they sent me a new LGC 4000 for a very good price. The 4000 is the replacement for the 3000 as there was a lot of problems with the 3000.
