Just purchased a 2000 marlin, took possession last week. First trip out and I find out the Groco 155 series in tank pump is not working. Assuming its seized because cabin lights dim down when I try to run it. So I am looking into repair options. Been reading on forum....some guys have been able to get existing pump to free up...seems like a temporary fix at best. seems like others have converted to external pump. Can anybody provide pics of what final set up looks like after conversion, some pointers on what's involved, or where to get started.

I have the 2001 Marlin. Same problem. I sucked it up and took the pump apart. It's not that hard to do. After taking it apart, I cleaned it up and got a pair of pliers gave it a turn and lubed it up. Worked great but after a few weeks of non-use, it seized again. Cleaned it a few times over last 3 years and just did it again... BUT I'm gonna get a new pump soon. The corrosion is gonna keep coming back. If you wanna save bucks at the expense of time, you can clean it up in about 45 minutes.
