MFD on 192 Tournament

I am looking to place a 7 inch MFD on my 2000 192 Tournament. Has anyone completed a similar install? Console space is limited on this model and I’m struggling to find the right spot. I wish it did not have the glove box or instead had a taller box/mounting surface in its place.

Remove the door and have a piece of acrylic or starboard cut to the same size. Mount the MFD in the opening. A 7" unit should fit just fine.
