Hello all,
Earlier last year I posted a thread asking about top speeds for a 22’ tournament, ‘93 model (SV2 hull).
I was only able to use the boat 4 times in the fall due to a heavy work schedule.
Im running a 200hp ETEC, and mounted it 3 holes up on the grady drive. Initially I had it mounted at the lowest hole, and there was a lot of bad splash off the gearcase until trimmed out almost to the point of ventilation.
3 holes up helped a lot, but still I see some spray off the gearcase until on plane and trimmed up.
Should this be mounted to the max 4 holes up?
FYI - I hit 43 MPH and the motor was still over the operating range (5850 RPM, I hit 5900 RPM). Have gone up in prop pitch by 4 to get the RPM’s down to the correct range, (19P).
The ETEC has plenty left to give but Im happy with the speed.
Advice?
