I am about to start working on a 1986 Tournament 190 that was on its way to be parted out when I found it.
The bones of her are amazingly good, only one small soft spot in the floor with easy access from underneath to repair. Cosmetically she needs lots of love. On my list is restoring the gel coat and teak, installing a bigger fuel tank (someone replaced the original tank with a 17 gallon poly tank..), Re-laying out the seating and new upholstery, adding a Bimini top, and upgrading the electronics. I'm still kicking around the idea of doing the floor in SeaDek,
Mechanically, the old Mercury 200 runs great and has been maintained, but the lower motor mounts are broken and the swivel tube is rusted out. So I have to tear down the motor and replace those.
Of course she'll be getting a new name.
I look forward to sharing and getting input from all of you on my Grady's journey back to Great!
