I am new to this site so I hope this goes well. I am going to buy a 1990’s model Grady White Tournament. I have found several potentials but the latest is a 1990 model. The one in particular is owned by an older couple and it has been a lake boat its whole life....never been in salt water.

I am hoping someone can comment on the 1990 Tournament specifically:
I am having buyers anxiety so please add data worth repeating.
Specifically the Ride, issues, pros, cons?
Should I try and find a mid-90's with the SeaV2 hull?
Any advice or comments are appreciated.

Any comments on the 1990’s model Tournaments are welcome as well.

Thanks in advance for your help.

I am pretty surprised no one has thrown in their 2 cents

Welcome to the forum....

The 190 became the 192 and got the Sea V-2 hull in 1994...there is a marked difference in how the two ride.

I owned a late 80s 190 and it was a wet ride in any kind of quartering sea. The ride, while solid, tended to push spray up and back at you....the variable deadrise of the Sea -V2 pushes water away.

The good news is the hull design is unchanged from 1994-today....there aren't a ton of them available and they usually sell pretty quick. Also not sure of your budget but if you can find a way to swing a 192, I'd look there.

I agree with holding out for a 192 with the Sea V2 hull. I have a 1994 192 Tournament and could not be happier. I passed on a late 80s Tournament and am glad I did. I also like the euro transom design on the 192s. The older tournaments have more of an open transom at the back, which I did not care for. Welcome to the forum and good luck. Let us know what you decide on.
