Hello-
Noticed a grating sound last time out under my tilt helm, and some metal shavings on the dash, then a sheared off bolt fell out. It isn't any better. Boat is in the shop away from me, don't have serial numbers of the product. 2007 Marlin 300, original 250 Yammy engines, hydraulic steering original I assume. Looks like they have discontinued the original and replaced with a new upgrade, here....?

Dealer saying there's a possibility that the helm itself can be replaced without the pump. Anyone have any tips on doing this job? I'd like to use the boat next week for a big trip, and anything I can learn to save me a few hours of time will be well worth it.

Thanks in advance,
Randy

There is the ability to buy the tilt mechanism only, but good luck finding one. Ended up buying the tilt and pump together just to get things moving. Anyone want a used pump? Works great. That's all I know now, enjoy the summer!!!
