please help with 88 seafarer gas tank sizes ?

considering a 88 seafarer for purchase.the owner has limited boat knowledge.the rear area has a filler hose capped with no gas tank,frt tank he claims is a 90 some gallon tank.what were standard n optional tank choices back then ?boat has a grady drive with 2000 yamaha s.w.series any help appreciated

According to the 1988 Grady White manual the Seafarer had a 95 gallon main tank with the option for a 55 gal secondary tank.

thanks for reply strike zone would u know if larger tank is mounted up frt of boat.boat im considering has no tank in rear of boat,theres a filler hose capped where second tank would go, optional tank would be in rear of boat?

Here's a link to the 1988 Grady White manuals. You'll have to look through to find your particular model. It appears that your auxillary tank if located aft of the main tank. This is just opposite of my 2000 Seafarer.

93 main in the rear, 55 aux forward (except for the I/O model) ... :wink:

In my 83, main tank is in the rear...aux in the front.
