Thoughts on portable walkie talkies to use with crew on board? There are a gazillion out there. Just looking to use them to communicate when docking/anchoring. Wife can’t hear me when I’m at the helm

I would go with a Bluetooth headset for your phone as long as the phone service is good in your area. Levn. headsets on sale for $39( very good headset) on Amazon. This way every one is hands free also no risk of walkie going overboard.

whatever you choose, do NOT choose a push to talk. you want an open line. your wife will need both hands when handling lines & walking/climbing around the boat, and you want both hands for wheel and throttles.
